Homemade Gut Friendly Fries

FINALLY! Fries that don't make me feel guilty after eating them (and don't send me straight to the bathroom!)

I'm not even going to waste anyone's time here and talk about why restaurant fries are bad for you or pre-made fries. I think we all know this but try to ignore it––because we can admit that oil-soaked fries seems pretty appealing at times! But air-fried fries have been a blessing for our new cooking style.

These fries are so quick and easy to make and they really are delicious!

I use my handy dandy little peeler to make things even EASIER. I'm such a sucker for kitchen gadgets but they really do make cooking so much more enjoyable for me. And they save time! Which is a huge bonus.

You can use sweet potato fries, but for this recipe I used Organic Yukon Potatoes.
They are very soft and easy to slice!

Add a TINY bit of avacado oil to your freshly cut potatoes.

**TIP: When I have more time to prepare a meal I soak my fries for 20 minutes in cold water. Soaking peeled, washed and cut fries in cold water overnight removes excess potato starch, which prevents fries from sticking together and helps achieve maximum crispness.**

I cook my fries using the "chips" button on our air fryer but I also will cook them at 380 degrees for 18-20 minutes depending on how crispy I want them.

DON'T FORGET! Half way through cooking––toss fries!
